Life in a broken world is often confusing and painful. Many of us carry burdens related to marriage and family, anxiety and fear, past hurts, persistent sin, or seasons of suffering and loss. At Sierra Vista Baptist Church, we believe God speaks into those struggles through his living and active Word and through the care of his people.
Our biblical counseling ministry is a ministry of discipleship and soul care. We seek to come alongside individuals and couples with compassionate listening and practical help that is rooted in Scripture, centered on Christ, and dependent on the work of the Holy Spirit. Counseling is offered by pastors and trained members of our church who aim to “speak the truth in love” and point you to the hope, comfort, and wisdom that God provides.
Biblical counseling may be helpful if you are:
- Walking through grief, loss, or significant life change.
- Struggling with anxiety, depression, anger, or fear.
- Facing marriage or family conflict.
- Battling patterns of sin and temptation.
- Seeking guidance in a difficult decision or situation.
There is no cost for counseling. Sessions are usually about one hour and meet weekly or as needed, depending on your situation. We ask all counselees to be willing to attend our church and to come ready to consider what God says in his Word.
